Installation Instructions

To install software for the first time:

Click on the relevant download link, and save the installation program on your computer (e.g. My Documents, or where is most suitable). When it has finished downloading run the installation program. (If you are downloading using Internet Explorer, then after it has finished downloading you can click on the Open button.)

To install a later release for software:

Long method:

Run the software, click on its About menu and make a note of its serial number (if it has one); this will be needed to be typed in again. Click on the relevant download link, and save the installation program on your computer (e.g. My Documents, or where is most suitable). When it has finished downloading run the installation program. (If you are downloading using Internet Explorer, then after it has finished downloading you can click on the Open Folder button. Then in the new window click on the highlighted file to run it; it may be necessary to run it twice so using this method ensures you can find it again.) The installation program will ask if you want to modify, repair, or remove the software. Click to remove. Run the installation program again to install the later release. If you are asked for a serial number then type in the serial number you previously noted.

Short method:

More simply, in most cases when the installation program is run you can select Repair to reinstall using the newer files, but if this produces problems then use the method outlined above.
